Judging by the title of this entry, you may be wondering if Solarian Studios is closing its doors, but fear not! As long as I continue to immerse myself in music and art, this website will exist on the web. I've made some drastic changes in my life recently, and this is reflected in a way by the latest design of this site. My creativity is slowly coming back, and you can definitely look forward to new work already in the making.
SolarianStudios.com has been completely revamped to serve as more of a compact archive of my work. There's really no need for an extravagant website, due to the fact that I want the focus to remain on my music and art alone. With that said, I definitely wanted to bring about a sense of beauty (and show off a little design-wise), while also catering to my technological side, hence the floral background met with almost a metallic feel of the small content box. There really isn't much that will necessarily change with site as of now, but I would like to include a tagboard or guestbook of sorts to help interact with the visitors of this site. This blog will mainly serve as a collection of reviews, but will also include a more in depth explanation of the updates that take place here, aside from what you see on the front page.
In terms of my art, I'm definitely back in tune with my musical side. A fairly recent work in progress rock song, cleverly titled 'WIP Rock Track' for the time being, can be found on the music page [click]. There are two more rock tracks in the works that will hopefully see their way to this site in coming weeks. The first, entitled 'Mexico', is a Spanish/Salsa influenced metal track with a pinch of Dream Theater type progression. The other is actually a fairly old track that simply never made it to a form that was good enough to share with others. This one is also metal at its core, but the focus here is to dabble in the world of polyrhythms, or varied time signatures on top of one another. We'll see how that one unfolds. Unfortunately, I'm still struggling trying to find my place in the visual arts realm again, but my design juices are starting to flow, and you just might see some new photoshop creations soon. I'm also interested in getting back into photography, as it was always a fun artistic release, not to mention that Omaha is absolutely filled with amazing sights.
Be sure to keep your eyes peeled at both the front page of SolarianStudios.com and this blog for any updates. I'm slowly coming back and I think this will be some of the best work I've cranked out in years. Thanks for visiting!
